Jane has over 20 years of experience practicing family law and is also a family mediator. She has helped hundreds of clients work through their separation and divorce. Jane is committed to providing a respectful process to resolve legal issues between family members.
In 2006, Jane became qualified to practice Collaborative Family Law. In the Collaborative process, Jane combines her family law knowledge with her expertise in negotiation, to assist clients to successfully settle (out of court) their parenting, financial, and property issues. She listens carefully to her client's goals, explains the law, and guides them through their legal separation. She feels strongly about providing competent and caring legal services to every client, in the most cost-effective manner possible in the situation.
Jane was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1998, and after moving to the Owen Sound area in 1996. She is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Since 2011, Jane has been an active agent for the Office of the Children's Lawyer advocating for the children's perspective in the breakdown of marital relationships. Since 2012, Jane has been appointed as a per diem Judge of the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court and she is a Past-Chair of the Collaborative Family Law Group of Grey/Bruce. She is also past chair of the Grey County Law Association and is both the Central West Region Representative, for the Federation of Ontario Law Association and the Treasurer. Jane loves her community of Grey and Bruce is proud to assist with providing access to justice.

Born and raised in Owen Sound, it had long been Lucas' dream to someday come back to his hometown to practice law. Some dreams do come true, and he is excited to have the privilege of helping his community with their legal needs and assisting with access to justice. Having joined the firm in 2019 following his Call to the Bar, Lucas is practicing in the fields of Family Law, Civil Litigation, Wills and Estates, and Real Estate.
Lucas graduated from Brock University with Honours in Political Science and a Minor in German (2015), and he completed the Integrated Practice Curriculum at Lakehead University's Bora Laskin Faculty of Law (2019). He has also summered with Bruce Grey Child and Family Services and completed his articling with Scheifele, Erskine & Renken in Meaford.
Lucas has spent significant time abroad, including a high school exchange in Berlin, a year studying at Linnaeus University in Vaxjo, Sweden, and a year as a Teaching Assistant in Hamburg, Germany: experiences which lend an international perspective to his practice.
When not at work, Lucas enjoys running, hockey, soccer, building his music collection, and enjoying the landscape that only Grey and Bruce Counties can offer. He is also a devout supporter of the Owen Sound Attack.
